Dearest Begz and his beautiful family,
Words can't really express how thankful we are for the experience you have given us. Not only an insight into Mongolian culture but to how family life really should be.
The way everyone pulls together to keep things running is really inspirational - something we have unfortunately almost lost in the west. If we can one day have a family just half as happy and healthy (mentally + physically) we will be very pleased!
I really hope that one day we can show you our home and country - you are very welcome!

Begz and his family hosted us fresh off of the train from Beijing and were therefore responsible for our first impressions of this marvellous country. Needless to say, I don't think there could've been a better ambassador! In our short stay I feel like we were treated to so many special experiences; from Begz's wisdom of Mongolian culture to herding cows with Gadma, Manujins excellent language lessons to playing games with Mungulen, and of course not forgetting Sayumbo's outstanding cooking!
Our only regret was not having the time to repay your generosity - we truly hope to host you or any of your family members in our country one day.

I hope you and you're family are well and keeping warm this winter!
My partner Alice and I are currently living in Beijing China, where we have become English teachers. It is now almost time for us to return to our homeland (UK) and seeing as we love new experiences, have decided to travel over land only.
UB will be our first stop on our long journey home.
We plan to spend around a week in Mongolia - wish we could spend more time as it looks spectacular! It would be an honour to meet you and your family, and stay with you if you have room.
We think it is important to try to understand different cultures when we travel and therefore love getting involved with daily tasks. Travel is not a holiday for us! We would love to help you to milk cows (although you would have to teach us first!), cook, and any other jobs you would do. We also love children and would be happy to spend some time exchanging games and stories.
Whilst in Mongolia we are hoping to learn a bit about horse riding and nomadic life - maybe this is difficult in Winter? To see the Bactrian camels would also be a dream!
I'm really hoping to find something warm to wear for the journey home, a fur deep perhaps. It would be great if you could point me in the right direction of a good local market.
We are happy sleeping as you do of course and would love to get involved with your nutrition club!

I wanted to double check you were still available to host us on the 22nd and 23rd (Thursday and Friday)?
We board the train from Beijing tomorrow morning, so I will be offline from then. I have your directions, so we should be able to find you ok!
The train arrives in UB at 14.20, but we have to make some arrangements for our trip into the steppe, so may arrive at your place a little later. Hopefully before 18.00 - Is that alright?
