Explore D.C. in Books

Ever picture the streets, addresses, intersections or neighborhoods described in your favorite D.C. novel like George Pelecanos' description of Strange visiting the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in his book Right as Rain, or Mullins living in a fourth-floor apartment in Foggy Bottom in Aly Monroe's novel Washington Shadow? Now you can see these places on a map. DC by the Book is an interactive literary map that allows users to explore the city through the eyes of local and nationally known authors.  DC by the Book was developed by the DC Public Library with assistance from a federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and in partnership with the Historical Society of Washington, D.C., Cultural Tourism DC, the Humanities Council of Washington, DC and the Beekeeper Group. Try it now.
